Powering the Network Edge

Modern networks increasingly deploy Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices like advanced access points and security cameras at the edge. These devices often require more electrical power than the basic 30W provided by standard network switches. This is where dedicated power injectors become essential.

A power injector is a single-port device that adds the necessary DC voltage to an Ethernet data cable. It is placed between a standard, non-PoE switch and the powered device. This allows networks to support high-demand equipment without requiring a costly, full upgrade to high-wattage PoE switches.
